The smiles speak for the happiness of the youth as they took picture for the completion of their training on “Craft Bag Making” transpired last February 3.

They are from Marawi Youth Development Alliance who were luckily selected for the training at the Negosyo Center in Marawi City spearheaded by The Youth Alumni Network with DTI-ARMM as part of the Mindanao Youth for Development (MYDev) Program of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), a partner of the latter that aims to protect the out-of-school youth against unproductive and violent activities in their communities.

Mr. Danny Arumpac, Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist of DTI-Lanao Del Sur and Ms. Zenaida S. Naga of HOPE HI ED enlightened the activity which includes a tutorial on how to make a paper bag out of a piece of cartolina. Through the activity, teamwork, creativity and efficiency among the participants were unleashed and the advocacy for an eco-friendly environment in Marawi City was promoted.

The DTI-ARMM will continue the commitment to implement such activity not only to the youth in Lanao Del Sur but also through out the region as part of the Entrepreneurial Development Program dubbed as "Livelihood and Business Coaching".
